Taxonomy
Helenifore pilosidiscus was named by Aitchison et al. (1999). Its type specimen is AMF96672, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Glenrock Station, RA4 [Gamilaroi terrane], which is in an Eifelian marine horizon in Australia.
