Taxonomy
Limnodynastes archeri was named by Tyler (1981). It is extant. Its type specimen is SAM P23054, a limb element (incomplete left ilium). Its type locality is Tedford Locality, Lake Palankarinna, which is in an Oligocene lacustrine horizon in the Etadunna Formation of Australia.
