Taxonomy

Parvidumus was named by Kobayashi and Hamada (1980). Its type is Parvidumus densigranulatus.

It was assigned to Griffithidinae by Kobayashi and Hamada (1980); and to Proetidae by Jell and Adrain (2002).

Diagnosis

T. Kobayashi and T. Hamada 1980	Strongly granulate griffithides with forwardly expanding glabella which is encroaching frontal border; a pair of preoccipital lobes rather small and subtriangu- lar; eyes large, located in posterior; thorax composed of nine segments; pygidium with 9-11 axial rings and 7-8 pleural ribs; granules on them typically spinose.
