Batrachognathus volans
Taxonomy
Batrachognathus volans was named by Riabinin (1948). Its type specimen is PIN 52-2, a skeleton (Well preserved skull and semi-complete postcranium), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Aulie, Mikhailovka, Karatau [PIN Loc. 2585], which is in an Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Batrachognathus.
