Arambourgiania philadelphiae
Taxonomy
Titanopteryx philadelphiae was named by Arambourg (1959). Its type specimen is Univ. Jordan, Dept. Geol. Coll. VF-1, a set of vertebrae (Cervical vertebra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ruseifa phosphate mine, which is in a Maastrichtian shallow subtidal phosphorite/limestone in the Phosphorite Unit Formation of Jordan. It is the type species of Titanopteryx, Arambourgiania.
It was recombined as Arambourgiania philadelphiae by Nessov (1984), Nessov (1991), Martill and Frey (1998), Unwin (2003) and Andres et al. (2014).
