Tupuxuara leonardii
Taxonomy
Tupuxuara leonardii was named by Kellner and Campos (1994). Its type specimen is MCT 1495-R, a partial skull (Incomplete anterior skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Santana do Cariri (general), which is in an Aptian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal shale in the Romualdo Formation of Brazil.
It was synonymized subjectively with Tupuxuara longicristatus by Martill and Naish (2006).
