Darwinopterus modularis

Taxonomy
Darwinopterus modularis was named by Lü et al. (2010). Its type specimen is ZMNH M8782, a partial skeleton (Skull and partial postcranial skeleton), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daxishan, Linglongta, which is in a Bathonian/Kimmeridgian lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Tiaojishan Formation of China.
