Yixianopterus jingangshanensis
Taxonomy
Yixianopterus jingangshanensis was named by Lü et al. (2006). Its type specimen is JZMP-V-12, a partial skeleton (Incomplete skeleton with partial rostrum), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Jingangshan, Yixian (IVPP), which is in a Barremian/Aptian lacustrine shale in the Yixian Formation of China. It is the type species of Yixianopterus.
