Diagnosis
Reference | Diagnosis | |
---|---|---|
J. W. Busanus and R. D. Hoare 1991 | Edmondia with coarse comarginal ridges; length and height nearly equal; curvature of margins forming a subcircular outline. Specimens are too incomplete for diagnostic measurements.
Girty (1911), in describing Edmondia crassa from the Moorefield Shale in Arkansas, noted the variation in shape of the specimens and tentatively proposed the name suborbiculata for the subcircular form. Specimens from the Reynolds Limestone agree closely with this form. The shape is distinctive. |
