Taxonomy
Plastomiltha odontota was named by Woodring (1982). Its type specimen is USNM 647335, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Location 23b, Rio Palenque [Gatuncillo Formation], which is in an Eocene coastal mudstone in the Gatuncillo Formation of Panama.
