Shaochilong maortuensis
Taxonomy
Chilantaisaurus maortuensis was named by Hu (1964). Its type specimen is IVPP V.2885, a skull, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Maortu, which is in an Aptian/Albian terrestrial horizon in the Miaogou Formation of China.
It was recombined as Shaochilong maortuensis by Brusatte et al. (2009), Carrano et al. (2012), Fernandes de Azevedo et al. (2013), Dalman (2014), Chiarenza and Cau (2016).
