Tichvinskia burtensis
Taxonomy
Tichvinskia burtensis was named by Ochev (1958). Its type specimen is PIN 2394/12 (formerly SGU 104/2), a mandible (fragmentary left dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kzyl Sai ravine, which is in an Olenekian fluvial-deltaic sandstone in the Petropavlovka Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Tichvinskia.
It was recombined as Burtensia burtensis by Ivakhnenko (1975), Ivakhnenko (1976), Novikov (1991), Ivakhnenko (2008).
