Muribacinus gadiyuli

Taxonomy
Muribacinus gadiyuli was named by Wroe (1996). Its type specimen is QMF 30386 (AR 5427), a maxilla (right maxillary fragment and most of jugal with P3, M1-4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gag Site, which is in a Langhian/Serravallian lacustrine carbonate in Australia.

Rovinsky et al. 2019very small thylacinid; differs from other thylacinids by: greater separation between paracones and metacones; large protocones; unreduced stylar shelf; preparacrista long relative to postmetacrista on M1–3; P3 smaller than P2; M1–4 metaconids less reduced; relatively large talonids.
