Taxonomy
Saitoum triumphense was named by Carter et al. (1998). Its type locality is S8-5-QC-574 Kunga Island, which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian basinal (siliciclastic) limestone/siltstone in the Sandilands Formation of Canada.
