Ducatus hipolitoensis

Taxonomy
Ducatus hipolitoensis was named by Whalen and Carter (2002). Its type specimen is USNM 401926 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SH-412-14, San Hipolito Fm, Punta San Hipolito, Baja California Sur, which is in a Pliensbachian slope sandstone/lime mudstone in the San Hipolito Formation of Mexico. It is the type species of Ducatus.
