Taxonomy
Ornithomimipus jaillardi was named by Jaillard et al. (1993). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Vilquechico tracksite, which is in a Maastrichtian fluvial sandstone in the Vilquechicho Formation of Peru.
