Taxonomy
Knightina multicarinata was named by Kozur (1991). Its type specimen is CK/V-4 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cozzo Intronata, Lercara-Roccapalumba, Sicily, which is in an Artinskian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Lercara Formation of Italy.
