Homeoarchicorys eiformigum was named by Empson-Morin (1981). Its type locality is DSDP Site 313, core 41, Mid-Pacific Mountains, which is in a Campanian submarine fan limestone/sandstone in North Pacific. It is the type species of Homeoarchicorys.
