Urftella (Mackenziella) rotunda was named by Becker and Braun (2007) [= 1978 "Aparchites" sp. 118 BRAUN: 276-277, pi. 4 figs. 118.]. Its type specimen is WB-N67/895-891-1 and is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Urftella (Mackenziella).
