Fenghuangopterus lii

Taxonomy
Fenghuangopterus lii was named by Lü et al. (2010). Its type specimen is CYGB-0037, a partial skeleton (Incomplete skeleton with a partial skull and lower jaws), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daxishan, Linglongta, which is in a Bathonian/Kimmeridgian lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Tiaojishan Formation of China. It is the type species of Fenghuangopterus.
