W. P. Elder and S. E. Box 1992Shells moderately large, subequivalved, thin, strongly to moderately prosocline and slightly biconvex; hinge slightly thickened with small, closely spaced multivincular resilifers. No obvious byssal slit and no pedalbyssal muscles, pallial line continuous, mantle retractor tracks weak, posterior adductor insertion area subcrescentic (after Kauffman and Powell, 1977).
