Faxinalipterus minima
Taxonomy
Faxinalipterus minima was named by Bonaparte et al. (2010). Its type specimen is UFRGS PV0927T, a set of postcrania (left coracoid lacking the sternal end; a proximal portion of the left humerus, a medial and distal fragment of the right humerus?; proximal fragments of left ra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Faxinal do Soturno, Linha São Luiz, which is in a Norian fluvial siltstone/sandstone in the Caturrita Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Faxinalipterus.
