Taxonomy
Healdianella splendida was named by Belousova (1965). Its type specimen is MGU 30/7 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dorasham 2, Ali Bashi Formation, which is in a Changhsingian marine horizon in the Ali Bashi Formation of Azerbaijan.
