Yezosaurus mikasaensis

Taxonomy
Yezosaurus mikasaensis was named by Caldwell et al. (2008). Its type specimen is MCM.M0009, a partial skull (Partial articulated skull, preserved in three dimensions, missing anterior portion of snout, and skull and braincase elements posterior to the orbit), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Katsurazawa River dam, which is in a Santonian/Campanian offshore sandstone in the Kashima Formation of Japan.

It was recombined as Taniwhasaurus mikasaensis by Caldwell et al. (2008), Driscoll et al. (2019).
