Taxonomy
Archaeophiomusium bispinosum was named by Mayou (1969). Its type specimen is Holotype BYU 1153, paratype is BYU 1154, Department of Geology, Brigham Young University,Utah and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Archaeophiomusium bispinosum type locality, which is in an Artinskian marine limestone in the Pequop Formation of Nevada.
