Stenotosaurus semiclausus

Taxonomy
Capitosaurus semiclausus was named by Swinton (1927). It is not extant. Its type specimen is BMNH R5276, a skull. Its type locality is Villingen, which is in a Spathian/Aegean terrestrial sandstone in the Upper Buntsandstein Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Parotosaurus semiclausus by Kuhn (1971); it was recombined as Stenotosaurus semiclausus by Romer (1947), Ingavat and Janvier (1981), Schoch and Milner (2000), Damiani (2001).
