Taxonomy
Calcancora venusta was named by Reich and Wiese (2010). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype GZG.INV.10014,Paratype GZG.INV.10020 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is abandoned quarry, Kepa, Lubin, Isle Wolin, which is in a Turonian deep subtidal wackestone/chert in Poland.

M. Reich and F. Wiese 2010A (para)species of Calcancora with the following specific features: anchor long, slender, relatively gracile, and moderately thick with two smooth arms. Flukes moderately long and broadly arched, making an angle of about 40% with shank. Shank constricted near stock. Short stock, finely denticulate on outer surface, and sometimes slightly branched.
