Bressanichnus patagonicus

Taxonomy
Bressanichnus patagonicus was named by Calvo (1991). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is MUCPv 60 (plastotype), a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Peninsula Nueva tracksite (level 4), which is in a Cenomanian delta plain sandstone in the Candeleros Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Bressanichnus.

J. O. Calvo 2007Midsized trackrvay of a biped dinosaur. Digit III is more developed than the lateral ones with clarw impressions. The track length is betrveen 20 and 25 cm. The length/width ratio is 1.5. Digit III is curved internally, the heel is subrounded and small. The pace angulations is close to 150°. Tracks are slightly asymmetrical. The hypex formed betrveen digits II and III is posteriorly located with respect to the hvpex between digits III and IV (Calvo 7991).
