Vorticina vortex

Taxonomy
Sinuitina (Vorticina) vortex was named by Gordon and Yochelson (1987). Its type specimen is USNM 210921, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USGS 17018-PC. Granite Mountain, which is in a Meramecian carbonate limestone in the Chainman Shale Formation of Utah.

It was recombined as Vorticina vortex by Wagner (2023).
