Pelagornis mauretanicus
Taxonomy
Pelagornis mauretanicus was named by Mourer-Chauvire and Geraads (2008). Its type specimen is AaO, a limb element (distal right humerus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ahl al Oughlam - general, which is in a Pliocene coastal limestone/conglomerate in Morocco.
