Cherninia megarhina
Taxonomy
Parotosaurus megarhinus was named by Chernin and Cosgriff (1975). Its type specimen is BPI 414, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 15, Upper Luangwa Valley, 3.5 miles west of Sitwe, which is in an Anisian terrestrial mudstone in the Ntawere Formation of Zambia.
It was recombined as Cherninia megarhina by Damiani (2001).
