Jiaodontus montaltissimus
Taxonomy
Jiaodontus montaltissimus was named by Klug et al. (2010). Its type specimen is SGP 2007/31, a tooth (anterolateral tooth), and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Jiaodontus.

Klug et al. 2010 | A species of Jiaodontus gen. nov., which can be diagnosed and distinguished from the only other named member, J. vedenemus gen. et sp. nov., by (1) labiolingually compressed tooth crowns and (2) convex mesial and distal cutting edges between the cusp and first pair of cusplets, (3) less curved crown in labial and lingual views, (4) more regular labial ornamentation, (5) a lingually more slightly convex cusp face, and (6) a less prominent vertical ridge on the lingual cusp face. |
