Taxonomy
Tonniornis minimum was named by Tambussi et al. (2006). Its type specimen is MLP 93-1-6-3, a limb element (humerus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Meseta Fm Telm 7, which is in a Priabonian estuary/bay sandstone in the La Meseta Formation of Antarctica.
