Taxonomy
Aclistomycter middletoni was named by Wilson (1971). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Adobe Springs (TMM 41213), which is in a Duchesnean terrestrial horizon in the Chambers Tuff Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Aclistomycter.
