Taxonomy
Tomiopsis harringtoni was named by Archbold and Thomas (1986). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Arroyo Piedra Azul, Bed BM6, Sierra Pillahuinco, which is in a Sakmarian marine shale in the Bonete Formation of Argentina.
It was recombined as Tomiopsis (Ambikella) harringtoni by Waterhouse (1998).
