Taxonomy
Uraloceras subsimense was named by Kutygin (2004) [Geological Museum, Institute of Diamond and Precious Metals Geology, Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Science, Yakutsk]. Its type specimen is GM IDPMG 175/43 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nimnigicheen Creek, Sample 114/997, Chubulakh River, Kharaulakh Range, which is in a Sakmarian marine siliciclastic in the Echiy Formation of the Russian Federation.
