Taxonomy
Madaraspis magnifica was named by Fortey and Droser (1996) [Paratypes: cranidium, USNM 481390; pygidia, USNM 481348; librigena, USNM 481348]. Its type specimen is USNM 481347, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Madaraspis.
