Teyumbaita sulcognathus
Taxonomy
Scaphonyx sulcognathus was named by Azevedo and Schultz (1987). Its type specimen is UFRGS-PV-0232T, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Linha Facão (upper, approx. 14 m), Candelaria, which is in a Norian terrestrial mudstone in the Caturrita Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Teyumbaita.
It was recombined as Teyumbaita sulcognathus by Montefeltro et al. (2010).
