Taxonomy
Plectodiscus berlinensis was named by Hogler and Hanger (1989). It is not extant. Its type specimen is UCMP 38211. Its type locality is West Union Canyon, which is in a Lacian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Luning Formation of Nevada.
