Congeriomorpha was named by Stoyanow (1948) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fras-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Congeriomorpha andrusovi.
It was assigned to Ambonychiidae by Pojeta (1966); to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Congeriomorphidae by Bouchet et al. (2010).
