Discomiltha was named by Chavan (1952) [Sepkoski's age data: J Oxfo J Tith-u Sepkoski's reference number: 791]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Myrteinae by Cox et al. (1969) and Vokes (1980); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
