Taxonomy
Asaphus huttoni was named by Billings (1865). Its type specimen is GSC 657, a pygidium, and it is a mold.
It was recombined as Megalaspis huttoni by Raymond (1925); it was recombined as Stegnopsis huttoni by Whittington (1965).
