Taxonomy
Asaphus quadraticaudatus was named by Billings (1865) [Lectotype selected by Whittington 1965]. Its type specimen is GSC 654 (lectotype), a pygidium, and it is a mold.
It was recombined as Niobe quadraticaudata by Raymond (1925).
