Taxonomy
Martiniopsis konincki was named by Etheridge (1892).

It was recombined as Ambikella konincki by Dickins et al. (1969) and Singh (1978); it was recombined as Ingelarella konincki by McClung (1978); it was recombined as Tomiopsis (Ambikella) konincki by Waterhouse (1998); it was recombined as Tomiopsis konincki by Waterhouse et al. (1983), Clarke (1990), Clarke (1992) and Cisterna and Shi (2014).
