Taxonomy
Leiobienvillia laevigata was named by Rasetti (1954) [Paratypes: MCZ 5128]. Its type specimen is MCZ 5127 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Oxley collection, Broom Point South, which is in a Tremadocian slope grainstone/mudstone in the Green Point Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Leiobienvillia.
