Pleurotomaria (Ptychomphalina) reticuloidea was named by Perner (1907). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dvorce, Praha - PodolĂ, which is in a Pragian carbonate limestone in the Praha Formation of Czechia.
It was recombined as Ptychomphalina reticuloidea by Wagner (2023).
