Microchiropteryx folieae
Taxonomy
Microchiropteryx folieae was named by Smith et al. (2007). Its type specimen is GU/RSR/VAS 96, a mandible (left dentary fragment with M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vastan Lignite Mine, which is in a Ypresian lagoonal siltstone/claystone in the Cambay Shale Formation of India. It is the type species of Microchiropteryx.
