Marvacrassatella was named by Ward and Blackwelder (1987) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi-l Q Plei Sepkoski's reference number: 985]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Crassatellidae by Ward and Blackwelder (1987); to Crassatellinae by Ward (1992); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
