Devonacarus sellnicki
Taxonomy
Devonacarus sellnicki was named by Norton et al. (1988). Its type specimen is AMNH-43123, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Brown Mountain Gilboa, which is in an Eifelian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone in New York. It is the type species of Devonacarus.
