Taxonomy
Brigantibunum listoni was named by Dunlop and Anderson (2005). Its type specimen is GLAHM A2854, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression preserving soft parts. Its type locality is East Kirkton site (Units 70-82: East Kirkton Limestone), which is in a Brigantian spring shale/limestone in the East Kirkton Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Brigantibunum.
